The Sun And The Moon

Like the sun,

Our beginning was as golden as our end

Just as dawn and dusk are magical as you are.

You shone light in my life and made me grow

Just as the sunlight makes the roses bloom

And just like the sun, you were my star

The centre of my universe

And the epitome of warmth in my heart

Oh how I love the moon

It is a celestial representation of you

Because you glimmered in the dark,

Distant, calm but glorious

Always giving me hope for the next day, and this life

You lit a fire within me

Fires of passion, desire and what I presume to be love

And I hope they will keep burning for you, never to be extinguished.
